war and Peace day tickets are £15 on the gate or £12 online - I've already booked for Saturday 21st....
Another gratuitous plug for a regular W&P attendee for you, Mike Gibb's rather spectacular SdKfz Foundation. I enjoy the competition between the bigger budgeted collectors. From Wheatcroft Famo through fully provenanced PzJg.38t to Gibb Jagdpanther & Cadman's beautiful Staghound there definitely seems to be a friendly (?) competitive edge that does nothing but enrich the show circuit for me. All the most cutting edge private restorations seem to turn out for Beltring. I hear a rumour (v. good source) that one of these gents has bought a second Pz.IV to go with his other that I watched break down c.5 years ago, fingers crossed this might mean they'll be able to cobble together a runner for this years show. Purely speculative but I do tend to get rather excited as the event approaches.anic: (I still reckon 1 day just isn't enough to see it all, I usually camp for 3 days and there's always stuff I miss) Cheers, Adam.
..thanks for the link again - although the site doesn't seem to have been updated for a while ...is the Jagdpanther at Beltring ?
I really do hope so - I'll be arriving around 10:00 on Saturday morning and will make a special effort to look out for that stand this time.....
No worries - we won't have a coach this year, but we will have a Jeep. That doesn't help much, I know...
Anyone wondering just how many trade stalls there are at Beltring this year may find this interesting.... http://www.warandpeaceshow.co.uk/images/stories/warpeace/stallholders2007.pdf You will need a stout, comfortable pair of boots.....
