Well, I believe this is matter of opinion. Some would say N&R, some would say Dunkerques, some would say that it was Agincourt. Maine is also a candidate but I would say Kearsage and Virginia classes.
Open to complete interpretation. Wing turrets are odd (to me) so I would put the "hexagonal" German dreadnoughts as the oddest layouts. N & R qualify, with the third turret masked for ahead fire, but there is something cool about their sheer ugliness! Please dont be nasty to Agincourt -- what has she ever done to deserve it? Actually, for the oddest layout (if never-builts) are acceptable, how about the Tillmans? Sextuple 16" turrets must qualify as the oddest design out there! Tom
nobody say anything about the agincourt, to me all ships are good looking but the soviets G&S and yeap we can make a big list of all ships, depending of what we considered odd. but agincourt is very close for what i was asking for cos is very similar to the yavuz sultan selim
I would like to say that there were two classes, the Fuso-class and on the other hand the Ise-class. ..perhaps the jap. cruisers as well Regards, Che.
hmm, cos´nobody asks or responds I´ll ask you somethin´. Which ship got the prototype of Yamatos tower bridge ? Regards, Che.
she would have been named "Victoria" and thus keeping the tradition of using names endind on "ia". and here it comes. so they go to King George V to ask his promission. the only problem was that his wife, the former princess Mary of Teck, was in the same room. the builders asked: "Hey, Georgie, can we call our ship after the greatest queen of england?" and Mary of Teck aswerd: "oh, i would be delighted" women
Yup, thats it. My version has George V saying "Oh, my wife will be so pleased" Quillin, you have control.... Tom
next one, again a japanese ship i'm looking for (no, where you are going to look for ) name the only japanese imperial navy ship of WW2 to become a part of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. good luck
