    German land lines of communication crap, Commonwealth land lines of communication much better.

    not once they passed Tobruk, as they were again subjected to the Axis routes but in the other direction.

    Rommel was also attacking into supplies as he advanced, if he could take British supply depots intact. This no longer became possible as the British lines solidified around El Alamein. Rommel then became totally dependent on his extended desert supply lines, and the unsafe sea lanes from Italy. Ultra gave away every major supply convoy before it even left Italy and most of Rommels fuel ended up on the bottom of the Med. Some tankers were sunk even as they were entering harbor. It must have been very discouraging for the Germans!
