It only means that im giving you some thanks for posting something I like and that was useful. Look to the right of your screen and you will se a tiny star-shaped medal with a blue ribbon on it. Place your pointer on the ribbon and it will tell you something. The more of these rep points you get, the better your rep status is ;-)) Look at Skippers reps and se what his message is?

Just watched again: The Seventh Voyage ofSinbad. Not a bad movie and as usual, Ray Harryhausens special effect are top notch. I didnt realize that IMo a way underrated actor was the lead role. The actor I speak of is Kerwin Mathews.

Zis evening I was able to catch about half of Stalag 17, all of: The Great Escape and now am in the midst of watching The Bridge Over the River Kwai. Now all we need to almost complete the circle of PoW movies set in WWII-we ned Von Ryans Express.

I also caught about 1/2 of Stalag 17. Great flick. I passed on The Great Escape and Bridge on the River Kwai since they cam on near midnight. I own both of them anyway.

Ditto. I did not watch The Great Escape but I did watch TBOTRK up to the part when Col. Saito left Nicholson and his subordinates out in the sun to roast. After that, I turned my TV off.

"Let it Ride" (again). I got it through Netflix, and watched it 3 or 4 times before sending it back today. Great flick.

Saw the end of Run Silent, Run Deep and beginning of the The Battle of Britain today. I would love to see Battlecry but don't think I'll be up until 4 am just to start watching it!

I haven't seen Von Ryans Express. Coming from you it must be a must see film.

Just glimpsed George Peppard playing a German Jew in North Africa but a power outage cut short my viewing. might this movie be Tobruk? I've seen bits of this film I think but never in its entirety.

I watched "My Best Friend's Girl" after getting off from work a little early before hitting the sack. It wasn't a great movie, but it was good for some laughs. It was definitely potty-humor at it's best!

Hi Fal, Von Ryans is a very well made film. I think you and your Dad would enjoy waching it. It not in the same vein as Stalag 17 or the Great Escape but, its a very well made film. Its got great star power in it such as: Frank Sinatra, Edward Mulhare, Wolfgang Priess, Brad Dexter, Trevor Howard and Sergio Fantoni. Ive always liked this movie since my first watching. It had many great elements in it and I would tell of a few but if I did? i'd ruin it for you and you Dad ;-))

Tobruk is a fair film and has great star power in it as well. One thing I really liked about that movie was a sentence that George Peppard said when refering to those German Military Police who were in Motorcycles and he correctly called them: Head Hunters. Its been ages since I last say Tobruk but even if a bit dated-its still nice entertainment. Talking about Tobruk, reminded me that I have I think at least two stills from that movie. One shows a soldier diving through a line of machinegun rounds from a strafing aircraft, and the other shows the men scaling a cliff and about to destroy the large Guns located under the cliff.

Just watched for the millionth time, Cary Grant, Tony Curtis, Gene Evans, Gavin McLeod, Arthur O'Connel & and pre-Bewitched: Dick Sargent, in: Operation Petticoat. Great fun movie to watch.

I watched "When Willie Comes Marching Home" a little while ago. Hadn't seen it in years, and it was as good as I remembered it.
