What if you won the lottery?

I'm with FramerT on this one for the most part. I'd probably also buy a large plot of land - a couple square miles at least - and then do some major work on it to result in various types of terrain. Then, along with some other goodies, have some real life war games on said piece of land. Maybe even do the same sort of thing but for Paintball/Airsoft. Make a steady income that way.

I'd also invest some money, but a nice new Jeep (or military version of the Hummer), a Garand/Carbine + STG44 with plenty of ammo. And 7 wives, one for each day of the weak. Ages 18 - 30. Once they hit that 30 year mark, and start to show it, i'll replace. Rinse and repeat until i start to get too old, then i'll just get rid of all of them. My will would leave all my money to der PanzerPenguin to aid him his quest of Troll-Riddance.

 

After taxes, you'd still get at least $50 mill. The interest rate on that per day is I think about $18,000.

I'd start my own Confederate Airforce by buying the two P-51 D Mustangs that this guy owns that lives near here, then i'd also buy that WWII German Junkers Transport plane that is currently being restored.

 

Splurge on a new Lotus Elise while the Europa gets a makeover and then send out my newly aquired "personal assistant" to procure a rather long list of books and other items I want to add to the collection.
Also, I'd actually hire a GC to finish the house I'm building rather than do it myself as I could not afford to be a bit lazy.

 

Die of alcohol poisoning in two years. kidding (or am I?)
Pay everything off for myself and entire family.
Buy everyone I like a new vehicle (their choice) "short list".
Give support to churches/charities I like, again "short list".
Then who knows.....start a Lobby against Lobbiests.

 

When I get enough money from the banks (which I own) and the lotteries of the world (which I own), buy Europe, then send the Germans Army to build defenses in Normandy, equip everyone with WW2 weapons and equipment, then Force Britain, USA, Canada ect, to land at Normandy, and see how the battle would turn out if I was in charge.

 

make up a nice bank acct for my grand-daughters, move out of the states to other parts unknown with the wife, both would be ski bums all over the world, quit working for the govt....... blah, blah, blah

First, buy the Guinness franchise....then a place in the country (Perthshire would do; the County itself, not a place in it! ) with room for all the family and the horses.
Then a top of the range reflector 'scope and a GRP observatory in which to mount it, top of the range Ham Radio rig and aerial and a 40' tower to connect them to. And then become a hermit to concentrate on writing best-selling history titles.

 

first off pay off everything that Mom and Dad owe on, then let them go anywhere in the world they wanted, as often as they wanted! (raising me was a little slice of hell, so they deserve it!) then i think i would go rent that island that Richard Branson owns for a couple of weeks, then come back to reality and get my affairs in order, you know banking and trusts for the nieces and nephews, make sure my siblings are all taken care of, i was thinking like a million a piece, then i would start out on a 10 year-more or less!, trip to Western Europe to visit every and any place i want! then i would probably retire in a big castle in Holland somewhere, with winter palace that all my friends could come to, in maybe Spain, Italy or the south of France! that would be nice!

How about giving $10,000 to each of the active forum members, does that count as charity ? No one on here except Martin is rich.

 

Heh heh, after I buy my three WWII airplanes, i'd have to hire three pilots too ;-)) Hmmm, whom would they be? perhaps Erich, Martin and and and and? Jeff? ;-D I'd offer a starting salery of $100,000 a year.
