German DRK helferin´s photos and medals, plus some Wehrmachtfahrscheins, and some other documents. The swastikas have been taken away from the medals. The photos on the left have been taken in Paris, possibly the nurses ended their training there (?) because the photos are from Sept 1941 and definitely given as goodbye presents. Nice Photo lab stamps on the back. A nice photo album some 100 photos from Norway and all the way to Lapland, where she met Dietl. Only one photo of that. Nice set all in all but I have a feeling a photo album of Paris is missing...

Thanx Skipper! When I went through the photos I was wondering what they were doing in Paris and what it was like in Sept 1941 for the whole nurse group to get a photo of themselves in a local photo shop for friends and relatives....

    Robert Gysae
    Korvettenkapitän

After six patrols with U-98, he took over the larger U-177. On two long-range patrols into the Indian Ocean Gysae sank 14 ships for a total of 87,388 tons. During the second patrol he received the Oak Leaves. In October 1943 he left the boat and in January 1944 he became the commander of the 25th U-boat flotilla (training flotilla). In the last month of the war (April 1945) he was the commander of the Marinepanzerjagd-Regiment 1 (Navy tank-hunter regiment).

At last! A real Klepper Kradmantel for my Felgendarme. It has taken me many years to find this. The one I had before was a French one , so I really wanted a Wehrmacht model to make my mannequin more accurate .

The "old" Klepper looked good enough, but the postwar buttons and the French cut, bothered me.

So there is nothing like the real stuff! Here you with my genuine Kradmelder. If Iwant to turn hil into a Felgendarme, I'd need to add a gorget and orange shoulder tabs instead of the grey ones, but he looks great as Melder with his gasmaskhose on the front the way they did and his red and white rundt (this was the model for aircrafts)
