I normally would, Martin, but on this occasion I thought "what the heck, I'm feeling generous today". :D

I have his sig too. I got it about 5 years ago.

Oh and speaking of signatures, would you possibly be interested in a complete adn all wartime signed) complete collection of Field Marshal signed pix? If so? let me know because I know where these are for sale at but, they aint cheap. Theres lots of other interesting sigs for sale there too.

Just won a great shot of a German MG-34 on Tripod mount with AA sights on it. I am hoping to score a few more great shots by bedtime this evening. This photo is a highly detailed shot of an AA mounted MG-34.

    Update.

I also just won a COMBAT action shot of a German 81MM? Mortar and crew in action right close to the up front front.

ALso included in tonights haul are two pics of the same man wearing his Coastal Artillery Badge.

Im HOPING to score a few more cheaply enough tomorrow. All I am waiting to bid on are great pics and some are VERY VERY typs pics that so far, have not garnered much bidding interest.

Just got a great shot from inside a German MG-34 Machine gun bunker looking out. There were two such pics and I got the best of the two. I could have had the other but didn't want to spend more than I HAD to. Also, got a great shot of an Infantry Kompanie crossing a river. Lots of got details involved. Another shot I got from last nights haul was a great shot of an MG-34 on AA tripod. Great weapon and accessories shot.

And no doubt, as usual, come back with lots of 'goodies' to make us all jealous. ;)

Carl, that bunker photo sounds really interesting, is there any indication as to where and when it was taken?

Hi John, it is a really nice shot. I don't have anything solid to go on cept that it is a shot taken in the spring or summer and is on the Eastern Front. Ill have to wait till I get these in and will hope something is on the back of them? I got very lucky recently in that one of my photos turned out to be one from the 54th Jager Regiment, 100th Jgr Div in November and at Stalingrad. I doubt any of these six will be as special as this one was? but never can tell? ;-))

My first relic from Festung La Rochelle (and possibly the only one I will ever get ....).

A 1945 Ausweis for one of the few tolerated inhabitants (for instance Todt workers) on of the La Flotte village on the Ilsand of RE (defense of the La PALLICE U Boote Ponds. ) .

This is signed in the name of the Festung commandant by a Leutnant (Iniitials = M.A.) and countersigned by a Kaptltn (initial = A M D )

Don't worry about the salute Carl, i'll survive. Most of all Iwanted to show you all this rare object for a KM or Festung thematic.
I believe only about 5000 were issued between late 1944 and early 1945. If anybody could identify the initials of the 2 officers I'd be delighted. It's not a big deal but it's always nice to put a name on signatures and you never know..

    Skip

very nice doc, a rare one it appears. the initials may not have anything to do with the names as the doc should be signed with the last name not initialized.

M.A. = Marine Artilliere as an example for the Kptltn.
