    Yes I know the dog tag is fake but it wasn't mentioned so no loss really

    Nice things, Darren. The box with the matches is after war BRD stuff but really old too.

    A friend of mine went to are local carboot on Sunday and saw these notes, He thought I would like them so he parted with his £2.50. I met up with him yesterday and Brought him a pint of beer for payment, What do you think worth £2.80? There are a few more but there duplicates.

    Well I'm back from the Atlantic pocket region (Royan, Lorient, Bordeaux area) and found quite a few goodies.

    for a start here is a German Breithaupt Compass with Polizei Präsidium markings on the case and nice Greyish paint. The Maker is in Kassel

    I have been thinking of you Erich and took many pictures from Cognac, Saintes, Bordeaux and also visited the German cemetery at Berneuil (Saintes) with many KM, LW and Ost recruits graves. I have started to post the pics in a separate thread. I almost mad eit to Mont de Marsan, but due to lack of time had to go back up north via Ronan and Lorient. I'm sure you'd have loved being there.

    thanks Buddy most appreciated. wonder if the "new" A/F at Monte Marsan resembles anything of the former WW 2 base

    check out for yourself: there are many pics from 1945 until nowadays. If you have WW2 pics you 'll be able to compare runways and buildings. ba mont de marsan - Recherche Google

    sadly I do not have any ww2 pics Skip the FAGr 5 was so stealth the pics are of crews only and the outside of very few Ju 290A's

    Bought the whole set of a Veteran´s medals and his military pass- on their way in the mail.

    From left to right:

    Three different classes of Freedom medals, WInter War medal with swords ( meaning he was fighting in the front ), Middle Karelian Isthmus Cross, Summa Cross.

    Got this stuff at the flea market yesterday. U.S. 1917 tool,U.S. TL-122B flashlight,U.S. medical dept. spoon,U.S. 1967 size 7 1/2 hot weather hat, U.S. gloves and liners,W.W.2 Japanese gas mask. Rich A. in Pa.

    75$ is a fair price and considering you don't find those everyday I find them much more interesting than a regular knife or bayonet.
