Arlon must be a good place to spot. I will upload my stuff too. I have lots of goodies including a Luftschutz helmet, a zeltbahn, a Luftschuzt gasmask, a Km Mess knive, a Raf Jug, a German medi bottle and more.

Voilà! Today's loot! Luckily I was on a budget, I could have spent a fortune on US fighting knives. The "bourse" was a mixed bag though, 50% of crooks, very crowded, many weird chartacters.....what really puts me off is the fact that nearly all the sellers have mixed fake stuff inbetween their, original WWII vintage, good articles, it makes me loose faith! Luckily I found one guy from Brussels who seemed quite serious! So after all I got some nice stuff at fair prices!

An original camo net with attached elastic band for my M1C helmet, it was NOS, even the paper with the instructions was still on it! Unfortunately it was so brittle that it disintegrated into thousand pieces when I tried to take it off. I should have taken a picture first!

Another M8 sheath for my M3, this one is in better shape as my first one.

A "Taylor" model wrist compass, it is in nearly mint condition!

Unfortunately a friend of mine who was with me, beat me to a very nice 1944 dated reversible US army Ski anorak...bad luck!

good you spotted the right stuff among all the fakes, it's getting difficult ,isn't it?

What about this Jug? I have seen many S.R.D. jugs from the English army ,but it's the first time ever I see one made for the R.A.F. I didn't even know this one existed so I adde dit to my S.R.D. collection.

I suspect it was unearthed near a former airfield and was in contact with petrol because it seems impregnated with it. It's in perfect condition, though. The cap is still sealed and for fear of breaking it, I did not attempt to open it.

Then you better leave it sealed! I remember seeing a 200 year old bottle of Scotch Whiskey in a shop in Edinburgh in 1999, it cost as much as my house ...I always wondered what people paying such crazy prices for old wine or booze had in mind.

I really don't think there would be any rhum inside, it doesn't sound liquid. It's more like dry mud.

probably some quagulation has occurred giving that thick effect, in fact not sure if I would try and pry that lid off anyway it gives the item such character.

Sad to hear that Erich , I hope you 'll be able to ride your bike at least . My collection has been growing like mad these last weeks, I'm not posting everything on the forum , but I've acquired a batch of Dutch and Flemish Waffen SS recruiting posters for example. Last Sunday I also found a KM Mess knive . Its aluminium and inox.

That's right, it makes the setting just about right, no detail is neglected, they even have coins in their pockets.

Also picked those German bottles up last weekend, nothing exceptionnal, but upon a closer look, one has a name + surname and the second one is a large model medic bottle , so both are nice surprises, I bet most of you do'nt have this larger model that wa salso used for the Gebirgsjaegers.

Hey , I checked the RAF jug again and it's still full of liquid. The bottle is sealed and there is about a third of the volume left. I wonder whether it's WW2 Rhum! I won't open it.

More of the finds I made last weekend:

    - A complete Heer koppelschloss with maker markings from Neu Ulm and dated 1941 (Can't decypher the name yet, so hang on)

-A large model Medic bottle with cloth . It has some mothing and is in average condition, but hey with a new strap and an cup it would just fine on a DRK mannequin and it's the first one with cloth I have.

    -a Luftschutz gasmask.
