Yes, there were several incidents ( I think the Finns bought several S-boats from the Italians during and after the Winter War ) in the coastal area, but I would think the main businez took place June-July 1944 when the Red Army was attacking through the Karelian isthmus and the Red navy tried to land troops behind the Finnish lines through the narrow straits of Vyborg.

A donation from an ex Stalag XA (Schleswig area) pow family.

This man was sent a latin school book . It appears to be a 1902 second school book that was donated by a Parisian school to the YMCA and then forwarded via the International Red Cross in Geneva. It then reached the Stalg library after going through the German censorship crews. Markings are excellent and include French labels , YMCA stamp and several German Stalag markings. It is dated 1944.

a Liberation area De Gaulle brass ashtray. It's rather rough and a very early model that was sold after 1944 to the French and to to allied soldiers stationned in France who bought those as souvenirs or sweetheart presents. Nothing to compare with with the nowadays plastic junk. It's quite heavy.

This is a reversible, fur trimmed Ski Parka. It is 1942 dated and in a great condition! there was only one drawback, the wolf fur has lost all it's hair, but there was a second fur that I will have to sew on! As the price was really good I did not mind having to do some sewing!

Some small stuff: a piece of a camo parachute cut out as a scarf, different models of field dressings and a bottle of Halazone water purification pills.

Three german maps covering the WWI battlefields of eastern France and Champagne. IMHO they are interwar civilian made for didactical purposes. Still an interesting find!

Mannerheim´s original signature 1937 on a visiting card. Also a nice Kriegsmarine badge, no maker marking though.

Unfortunately could not make for some reason photo additions to my last posting, but here is one of my latest additions: Winter War wounded badge. The badge for later war phase for Finns was different and these Winter war ones are more valuable and not so often seen in the auctions..

Skip yes checked on some of my other KM documents whcih are signed by Flt. chef, of superior CO's they go into June/July of 1945 especially for those units in the far north which were the last to surrender. the case being the awards themselves as well as Ukrunde. the stmping of the Kommandeurs namae but not signifying date usally occurred, so there seems to be a cashe' on hand whcih just neded a typed in date and the recipients name and rank added. blackened swastika could be a post war addition.
