Another WW1 American Victory medal....I like these alot , this time with 4 clasps, - Aisne Marne, St Mihiel, Meuse Argonne and the Defence Sector

there is a little staining on the clasps, but as it is consistant, it's safe to say that the clasps are 100% original to the silk ribbon, and not a 'put together' .....the silk ribbon has seen better days, but I like it!

Hi Andy, great Medal, if you happen to have a spare US or British one , I'd gladly trade one for a French one.

Hi, yes, trop/dak is my main interest, but its all interesting. That makes 12 piths in my collection as it stands.

    Thanks, Jerry

Hi Jerry, I can only sit back in awe, at your collection.

    Hi Kai, more great signatures.

    My newest acquisitions are:

    1) Combat action on the Maginot Line. This is a great non-professionally-taken actual on the line, combat photo. You have a great view of a rifleman actually firing at a nearby enemy soldier and there are several others doing something but I can tell exactly what?

    2) Pretty nice shot of two KOed or captured Russian BT Tanks which are being inspected by a couple of inquisitive soldaten.

    3) Pretty nice shot showing I think at least two Panzer III Tanks in some Russian village.

    4) A good shot showing a unit of Germans attacking? across some field. Apparently I missed out on the KV2 pics and something else. Im not griping, after-all, I did get a nice g-e-n-u-i-n-e grunt on the ground-taken combat photo.

Hi and thanks for the good words.

I have been trying new things and here is a new montage of my German piths-I included the reissue Italian as it was badged and used by the KM.

    Jerry

PS, I picked up some more items of DAK/Trop cloth and will post some pics when the last item arrives.

Hi Jerry, those are some great covers and ive seen the first one before.

I sent the info to Ray to see if he is interested in posting my newest. So far there are about 10 new ones not posted on the site yet. Im still beaming a bit at getting a couple of nice combat pics and for a cheap price. Actually, I think of these 10 or so, I think 4 are combat pics.

Oh and, one for you Luftwaffe guys, I got a pic of a flight of Stukas (though seen at a distance) which were attacking some position. I dont yet have the pics in hand to know the location but is somewhere on the Eastern Front as is all these pics cept for one combat pic. That one Combat pic was taken in France and somewhere on the Maginot Line.

As promised, my latest trop cloth pick ups.

A km trop cap eagle (French made), a heer trop coat oberschutze rank patch, a heer trop tunic red artillery signal blitz patch and a Heer trop tunic funkmeister patch.
I have at least one type of trop eagle for the Heer, Luft, KM and SS.
I now have both types of trop rank pip.
In terms of blitzes and trade patches, I only need a pink blitz and a schirmeister patch to have one of each type, though not of every variation of each type issued for tropical use.
I still need obergefreiter and stabsgefreiter chevrons, but as they are usually more money than I think they should be, I might never get them.

    Jerry

Hi Jerry, these are some nice additions. I wish I still had some trop trade patches I had about 12 years ago. I bought themfrom a dealer in Oregon back then. I gave them away years ago but had I still had them? they would be yours.
