Nice pliers, I saw a very cheap case, I think it was only three € a few days back! I will get a huge stash of very nice stuff next week...I'm giddy like a little kid on X-mas eve!

Don't hesitat eto post them, this is fun.

In the meantime : one for the RAF and Resistance lovers. This flyer was dropped over France by the Raf in February 1944. It was printed in london in French language and gave occupied countries the allied version of the news. Of course you'd better not get caught picking one up or reading one

Great find! Is there a chance to get a pic in a higher resolution, it would be a very interesting read!

it's at 600dp so if you save it you should be able to enlarge it. If it doesn't work I"ll try a higher resolution. if you like these documents you might want to check the Walloon fifth collumn one I posted yesterday in the militaria document section .

I also posted a B-17 tail section part in the relic section.

A mint condition, named, Field Jacket, Cold Weather a.k.a. Arctic Field Jacket! It is dated 1941 and was made by Kenosha Full Fashioned Mills Inc. The size label has 22 e RIC , the name Vimar and the abreviation ASP. written on it. My educated guess is that it belonged to Aspirant (officer candidate) Vimar of the french 22e Régiment d'Infanterie Coloniale. The unit was reformed on july the 1st 1945 with men that had fought in different Free French units in 1944/1945. In the beginning of 1946 it was shipped to Indochina. Alltough I spent some time on the web, trying to research an officer named Vimar I didn't find anything. Maybe one of you guys had an idea where to look for further informaton

A Jacket, Mountain, dated 9/24/1942 and made by Cohen-Fein Company Inc.
The jacket has a large pocket on the back to put in spare clothes, rations and ammo etc. etc. ......on the inside there is a pair of suspenders integrated into the jacket to help evenly spread the load of the back pocket. The chest pockets are cosed by a zipper, the lower pockets have a button.

Modified front seam M1 helmet made by McCord. The helmet has the officer markings for a captain painted on. The chinstraps of teh shell have had two straps added, those are propably straps with studs of an M8 knife sheath, in order to button the shell onto the airborne iner. The liner is Westinghouse paratrooper.
