ooooooooops to fast a finger(s), coming shortly from Asia actualy a very rare signed foto of RK winner and Nachtjagd pilot of 1./NJG 5:

Hauptmann Ernst-Georg Drünkler Staqffelkäpitan flying a jU 88g-6 IN 1945. One of the very few high scoring LW night fighter pilots to make it till wars end. Several sources mention his victory talley upwards of 47 victories with several at wars end on the Ost front against Soviet Il 4's. Multiple kills on several nights usisng the famed Schräge Musik installation........ 16 victories alone for 1945.

A few weks back I scored quite a nice grouping! Unfortunately I was a lttle to late, because in the beginning, the seller also had some nice medals belonging to the Majors father, as well as the sons first commission with the original signature of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, but when I found it these were already sold! Anyhow the documents I got date from 1920 till 1964 when the son Humphrey retired as a Lt. Col. of the inactive reserve.

James E. Humphrey's state and federal commissions and promotion documents, this is only a small part of the documents that were part of the grouping, I haven't sorted out all of them yet

DUI of the units J.E. Humphrey served with! He started his career in the 14th NY regt. Then he changed into his father's 23rd of the 106th New York Infantry regiment. Later he changed form infantry to field artillery, where he served in the 186th FA Regiment. During the war he was with the 315 FA Bn and the 313 FA Bn of the 80th Infantry Division.

Wonderful picture of Ernst . I worked on his June 3rd 1944 claim ( shot down a viermot. Operation Bombing of Trappes marshalling yards) and never found a decent signed picture of him until now.

sky: great medals , especially the Purple Haert with 1944 dated document.

My latest purchase : a M-35 French Mastic pair of officer cavalry trousers. They fit both my artillery officer mannequin to be OR my Gendarme in Summer uniform . The latter being a bit more eclectic with blue winter cap (still need the summer one ) . I will probably dress my 6th Artillery officer first.

the Gendarme version. Ranks and collar tabs are not sewed yet. Note the black cartridge pouches vs. the brown ones for the regular army.

Inbetween 1936 and 1940 the Major was not an active officer but worked with the Pinkerton Agency, here is a more detailed shot of his gun permit as an "Operative"

There are about 90 photographs and many little bits and pieces.

    Three maps glued together.

On the back the Major had noted the names of the villages and towns he had passed through. On the sellers pictures you could only see the names of the french villages! You can't imagine the surprise it was when I discovered the names of luxembourgish villages, the list ending with the neighbouring village of Ermsdorf, right next to where I live!!!!!

The part with the local villages.

It's just a small selection of photos, there are more then a hundred of them! What's really fascinating when you go through the pictures is that you can see how fast the US Army changed in the late thirties and early forties!
