Excellent items once again gentlemen, I will watch them more carefully later. For the time being I will post some of the items I found while travelling through nothern Europe . I came back yesterday after a long drive from Denmark .

My first find at a Dutch flea market is this British 1944 dated welfare biscuit box. The welfare boxes were dropped over Holland by the RAF during the winter of 1944-45 when the Dutch were suffering from severe cold and hunger.

Many boxes were confiscated by the Germans who were starving too , so when a familly got a box from the air, they kept it as the holy Graal even after the war, as some people owe ther lives to these godsent food supplies. There were many makers. Similar boxes can be seen in the Arnhem and Rotterdam WW2 museums.

If any has information about the maker in the UK I can gladly use it.

Nice find with the "leadership tab" under the chevrons. I've been looking at these things for 35 years and that is the first one I have seen, outside of a magazine or book.
