Wow those Assi Hahn docs are just flabbergasting! That invitation to the desert party must have been a blast (note the "turban is expected "side note) . it must be early war docs because he has not painted his nose art Hahn on his kite yet.

Here is my newest aquisition and it didn't cost me a dime, issued by the Sheriff's Department: A 1943 Ithaca 1911A1, although it doesn't show well in the photo it is green. Still quite a bit of surface rust in the nooks and crannies. It has clearly resided in a state of neglect for the last several years. I do not think this particular pistol was ever issued, aside from the Pachmyer grips (wich will be replaced Monday) it shows absolutley no wear, not even holster wear, there was even dried cosmoline in the magazine well.

I promptly took posession of this and ran about 100 rounds through it without so much as a hiccup; it functioned beautifully. It did take some limbering up to get the slide to function and after a the first couple of magazines the the slide lock engaged. On the last magazine the front sight flew off, it and the rear sights will also be replaced Monday. A fine edition to my gun box.

Great U.S. uniform . The man seems to have Italian origins according to his name. The Battledress looks awesome, they are getting hard to find nowadays

Show off :D. I thought finding one after all those years, is cool enough, if there had been more , I would have taken them too.

Here a Few bits I bought earlier today at a militaria show.

    Hitler Youth belt.
The buckle is RZM and M4/24 marked which means it was made by Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, Germany.

A Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labour Service) dog tag. I've yet to research the markings.

British civilian gas mask. The carry bag and mask strap both have the original lady owner's name and address written on them.

Luftwaffe bowl (i've put the HJ buckle in it to give an idea of size).

Nice acquisitions John, your Rad tag means the man was incorporated in section 1061 in June 1943. Don't know about the M-18 . Maybe 18 is the year of birth?

    Thanks for the information, Skip.

I have a book on German dogtags but there is no mention of Rad tags in it?

Rad personnel were incorporated in to all branches of the german military so maybe the M-18 indicates this?

Find something about Hans von Hahn is nearly impossible.
Photos or autographs of him are extremly rare.
    Very good find, Kai-Petri.
    Great stuff!!!
