Right - the M1911A1 Colt .45 - never even thought about it !
It looks so 'American' in the same way that the Luger looks 'German'.

Erich - the FJ42. From the 'style' point of view, surely it must be the FJ 42/II with wooden furniture. Very  ! The early variant, by comparison, looks rather 'awkward' ?

Yes, the Colt 1911 0,45" is very, very beautiful. It looks powerful and big, very American, except that it is very classy. Althought it is too heavy and powerful for me. OK, I am just a sissy flower...

    G'day

A few weeks ago I was able to fire a Webley ,455.
If you're talking class them this must be it. It was just after 21.00h but the owner had to ask if I could shoot it, thinking about the neighbours, because it made a hell of a noise. But the style of the weapons is beautifull.

How about hand held anti-tank weapons.....

I own a Panzerschreck 54 and it tops anything you guys have proposed !!!!!...... ;)

Actually it's kinda ugly really but got the job done more than once. I'm talking about another category I can see now.......

Hey, Erich! Well... (stupid uppish kid sound-like) I have something better:
    I have an 88mm gun...

No, not really, it woudn't fit in the garàge and surely if we had it we wouldn't be able to shoot in in the back garden... My mum would really become mad if we blow the garden up...

Lucky, you, Erich! Now you have protection the next time you see a T-34 on the street!

    Sorry, I am fooler today...

Pretty simple design though, but no at all stylish ! Looks like a deformed T, and a heavy son of a buck as well.

Ya know after this stipid incident at LA's airport, I wonder just how far someone could go with a big beast like this hanging off their shoulder if they had both ends of the barrel plug with rags....... ?

E hmmmmmmmmmm, what a disgusting thought.

Just trying to pull this thread back onto the rails : -

Where style is concerned, the Mauser HSc surely has to be included.

No votes for the P.38, then ? :(

Well, the P-38 has my vote when we talk about the BEST in performance and mechanical design of the war, but it has not got anystyle for me.

Martin, bad boy! If you say that means that you want it! He he he!

    Actually, no.
I mean, I've got one - with all matching numbers etc - but it's a bit like the MG42 ; impressive-looking and a great reputation. But no 'charisma' - that's reserved for the Luger !

The No. 5 Jungle carbine does have some style to it. Mainly because of its' short barrel, and flared out flash suppressor. I own one, and it also gives you a good kick in the nuts!

The panzerschreck has no style at all, period. Also the 1911 has no style either. It was just a plain simple, rugged (J. Browning) design, but no flare or style to it at all!

I still go with the Artillery Luger as first stated, as to the most style of them all!

    Matt
