No problem Tom. That is the same photo I indicated was below the original one but I could swear it had both men identified early this morning? I wouldn't have posted the link to both of them if it had no ID in it?

Let's see what happens with this link, it ID's the guy as Robertson: p011858.jpg | Flickr - Photo Sharing! If you go to the first link under this photo, it takes you to an earlier posted version of the same shot without any ID? There's no reference to Valognes under the above linked photo but there is under the "older version". Not sure what reference was used to determine Robertson was never in Valognes?

 

Here's another shot of Robertson from the link in Skipper's post #2, but with Robertson facing the camera instead of in profile.

The shape of his face is all wrong for the guy the OP is trying to ID (see Jeff's post #3).

I have to telle you, my correspondant on 39/45 forum, works , I mean contribute to Flickr. and he asked the question for Flickr.
as we (I mean You) gave the answer, flickr have completed the information. so the pic is not anymore unknonw. and I think we can close this post. I wish they were as sure for Admiral Turner. nothing is perfect.
