Re-enactment on the Continent is alive and well, I did a show at Dover Castle about 6 years ago and there were French, Dutch and Belgian re enactors a plenty. We were portraying Kriegsmarine officers and men and togged out in Bundesmarine square rig, NVM reefer jackets with repro insignia (possibly one of the cheapest outfits I've assembled - the badges came to more than the uniform did!) and we had a Belgian chap rigged out in full U-boat leather gear, cap, EK1 the lot, and all original. The next time they hold a weekend do (usually in the summer) I would recommend that anyone who can make it, to go. As I've never been to Beltring, this was the largest event that I've attended.
