Ray, that photo from The Flying Tigers just made my day. I have one still from that movie which shows Duke standing next to his aircraft and hes being chewes out by his Chinese Crew Chief because of all the bulletholes he got in it from the last mission.

Nice shot ive nevver seen before but, I THINK this is taken just outside his home (which is no longer there) in Longbeach, Calif.

This reminds me of a story that Mr Brooks told me about Duke and one of his Daughters. This was back in the 60s and one of his Daughters (Aissa, I think?) had gone out on a date with her boyfriend and was not back home on time. Duke was in a robe and was outside pacing back and fourth on his sidewalk-like any normal Dad would be doing. Well, it was past 2 AM and Duke was still outside pacing back n fourth when a car was coming down the street. It was the boyfriend and his Daughter and ohhh the look on his face when he saw them. Duke said nothing but just gave one of his looks-silent and almost deadly-and he just looked down his nose at the scared-shipless boyfriend. He said nothing to his Daughter and she skimmed past him and went straight to her bedroom. Duke heard whatever excuse the boyfriend had for being late and he only said that he better not let that hapen again-turned around and went back into his home.

Good ones. The only one in the first pic I recognize is James Garner (wearing black clothes) as Brett Maverick. I cant see the other ones well enough to venture a guess.

Pic 2) Jock Mahoney. He was more fo a character actor than a big star-though he did star in several "B" Westerns. Also, he was prominent as Steinbrenner, the ace Machinegunner in: A Time To Love and A Time To Die.

Pic 3) Eric Fleming of RAWHIDE ;-)) Wheres Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates? ;-))

Pic 4) Hugh O'Brien as Wyatt Earp.

Pic 5) A very young Dana Andrews-I dont know who the other two are or what movie this is from?

Duke and Montgomery Clift in: Red River.

Ward Bond on the left, John Agar on the right and Duke in the mid.

Duke and one of his Daughters-again Aiessa.

Duke and one of his Wives--Pilar I believe? BTW, Pilar is an Artist which is how she makes a pretty good living. Pilar has done many many painting of Duke. Ive seen pics of a few of them and thery arent bad at-tall ;-))

Hi Ray, Gordon, Ray thanks for the pics of Reed and Jeff Chandler. Did you know that Jeff Chandler was a Texan? Yup, and he lived in Houston workling as a Steveador for some shipping company and was discovered while working there.

Gordon, unless its for curiosities sake, dont waste your time watching it. Thats one Duke movie that is a bomb and is a struggle to watch.

Forgot to mention that thats Sir Roger Moore along with James Garner in: Maverick. Bet most of those out there didnt know that he was in that series for awhile ;-))

Hi RAy, you can say that again, all of these are classic Cowpokes ;-))

Duke and Randolph Scott, dunno who the third guy is?

I don't know who any of them are in pic Nr 2.

Of course James Arness (Matt Dillon in: Gunsmoke) and????? Also, did you know that he has a website up where you can buy personalized autographed photos on. All pics are from Gunsmoke.

The next pic is of the cast of: The Texas Rangers which starred greats like: Neville Brand (the 2nd man left side of pic) I cant remember the names of the rest of the cast but I THINK the guy far right is Philip Carey??????????

Classic Clint as: Josey Wales. I had a posted of the same image-back when I was about 15-had bought it at some tourist trap shop in California.

Cant get more classic than Clayton moore as The Lone Ranger ;-))

Final cast pic of the cast of: Wagon Train. John McIntire top right and Frank McGrath, bottom left. I cant remember the names of the other two. Missing are: Ward Bond (thanks to passing away from a fatal Heart Attack) :-( and Robert Fuller.

Their names arent familiar but then again, I hated watching eposides of that show after Ward Bond passed away. just wasnt as good as it could have been even though John McIntire was a good replacement. They wanted Duke but he turned the offer down.

Classic shots of Duke in: They Were Expendable, Sands of Iwo Jima, the shot from a movie that made him a star-Stagecoach, as the Ringo Kid, and Rio brave as Sheriff John T. Chance-great movies all ;-))

Think you can find any good shots of him in the serial: The Three Musketeers? or also from the movie: Allegheny Uprising? Allegheny Uprising was the movie he did just before Stagecoach.

Well, I watched The Conqueror purely from the curiosity view point, Carl.
    And that's all I'm saying!;)
