OK, Carl and Erich, I consider you my friends and I don't want to sound harsh. But I think that politics must be analysed in deep and see what's behind everything, because politics are nothing but hipocresy.

Erich, even in Alaska, that oil wouldn't last for more than 40 years. Iraq's oil will last for at least 150 years. These politicians are looking ahead in time.

Carl, with all due respect they don't have to die for you or for me or for nobody. They must NOT die AT ALL!!! Just let the Iraqians and all live alone and keep your boys unharmed within your borders, which, I think there's where your real enemy is: violence within your borders. Keep your soldiers alive in USA and help policemen no to be killed...

Again. I know that you surely will not agree with me in my arguements and they (even if they seem to) are not meant as an insult to you, Americans. Above all, Carl and Erich. Again I tell you, at least, for me, you are more than 'on-line' friends.

Friedrich--you are a friend of ours but--I still have to differ from you. Alaska has more oil reserves than Texas has, and Texas has one of the biggest deposits in our section of the world. The oil will not be running out anytime soon.

Also, America, Americans, England, British, ARE forced into the position of dying for you as well as for our countries BECAUSE no other country wants to do the right thing and step forward to help, all they want to do like France is to sit back and complain, but reap the benefits of what we do.

Just a little input here. The concern is perhaps not only of the oil within Iraq but also in the countries who borders Iraq...

    best regards

As someone who may very likely be asked to die in the Iraqi desert next year, i think i have a right to speake my mind.

Saddam was a tirant in the 80s. But we, Britain and the US supplied him with arms to wage his war on Iran.

Saddam was still a tyrant in 90/91 when he invaded Kuwait so he could get his hands on the oil. We liberated Kuwait for its oil, and nothing else. Which makes us no better than Saddam, who we left to continue butchering his own people.

And he has not changed in the last 10 years. So why all of a sudden the call for war. Has he been linked directly to Sept 11. Has he made any direct threats against the west.

America props up Saudi Arabia. What justyfication can there be for keeping such a regime in power.

    OIL.

Yes, Saddam should be removed. He is a tyrant and buthcher. But i think we are a bit late to start claiming the moral high ground.

Carl, sorry if this seems like ank bashing, i respect you far to mutch to intend offence.

But as someone who may be asked to fight and die for America, i'd like to think my lifes worth a bit more than 5p on a Gallon of fuel.

No problem there mate--I know you arent bashing me for anything--well said. [IMG] I totally agree with you.

All im merely trying to do, is to make sure that both sides of the story is told as best as possible.

Being that I dislike anything political--like discussions, policies etc--I dont make much of an attempt as spending time trying to figure those politicians out--its difficult enough to try to understang their policies as it is.

And DEFINATELY, I do hope you arent sent there. If you are, send me your military address, and i'll send you a nice issue of Playboy--in the least. :D

As much as i disagree with how he US and British goverments ar handling this, i do believe Saddam needs to be brought to book. Why should guys like Myloshavic be punhised, while Saddam sits safe and sound in his bunker. I just wish our govements would be more honest and quite the properganda. But then they would have a harder time selling the war. How history repeats itself.

After 8 years training in Armoured Inf, i better bloody go. And he Playboy will be much appreciated ;)
