That seems a trifle cheap to me... buy mothers while you can at this rate - they're not getting any cheaper!! Seriously, keep in mind that some of this "equipment" will most likely be completely unusable. There could be more rust to these vehicles than metal. Nothing will work.
Andreas, you can sell anything on ebay and epier--I saw a Panzer III for sale at the starting bid of $100,000, this was about 3-4 months ago. Believe me, spread the word and they will come to buy--rust or no rust--restoration is relatively easy. If you get any Officers tunics, Peaked Visors, or any Teller Mines--let me know--also any medals and rank insignia you can come up with.
I better state buying lottery tickets with the rest of the guys in my unit. Ever since we lost our stug a few of the members are pulling there hair out of thinking of ways to get $200,000 to buy it back. I'm sure a panzer II or III could help them grieve with the loss.
Well, I'll take a look what is there first, then compile a list, and then see what can I can buy and sell.
UPDATE!! I have started investigations, and so far most people think it is unlikely that any material from WW2 is still in some depot. But others think it highly probable. Fortunately I have almost got an "inside man" by now, and the support of a Major d.R. to work with. So I may have some results in one week or two.
Looking forward to it Andreas, AND especially if you can get your mitts on some helmets! I KNOW many buyers. [ 12 December 2001: Message edited by: C.Evans ]</p>
