    FIRST:-Name the 6 Company Commanders 1942-1945
    SECOND:-Name the 4 Company 1st Sergeants 1942-1945

    Sorry, panzerknacker...I've trawled around on the 'net and can't find the answer :rolleyes: , and I've got the book here but I'm darned if I can be bothered to read right through it counting up the names.... :( [​IMG]

    And do you know how many pages Rendezvous With Destiny has??? And my edition is in small print!

    I will read both books, but I haven't got the time yet....And I STILL don't have the DVD's for "quick reference".

    Herbert Sobel
    Thomas Meehan
    Richard Winters
    Fred Heyliger
    Norman Dike
    Ronald Speirs

    The 1st Sergeants names were:-
    William Evans
    James Driel
    Carwood Lipton
    Floyd Talbert

    Martin-Too Late now-but these lists are mentioned at the end of the book... ;)

    Kai Petri is right-I was referring to Karl Jager-he had landed on Fort Eben Emael and was later responsible for overseing the massacre of 138, 272 people in Lithuania.
    NO HIJACKING PLEASE!!!

    Admiral - the way this thread works is that first , you have to answer the current question correctly.

    Then , the thread is all yours to ask any WWII question of your choice.

    So, at the moment, Kai-Petri answered the last question and he'll now post a question. Get it right - and it's all yours ! ;)

    OK, the question...

    The Panzer Lehr consisted of units that had formerly belonged to the various armour schools. The suggestion to concentrate these units into a fighting division...came from whom? And who was the first commander?
