Palm Beach Post: History textbooks: Painfully true or P.C.?, 12-07-03

This is a great article in which Dr. Porter Crow, a World War II veteran with a PhD in education, reviews how current textbooks treat the war. ... "Crow flips another page, reads another paragraph. He closes the book, slides it across the table. 'I was there,' he says. 'It just wasn't like this.'"

Julius Caesar puts down the Oxford History of the Roman World and says " It just wasn't like that, I was there".

Guam Pacific Daily News: Teach: Guam's World War II legacy won't endure if it's not passed on, 12-09-03

Guam has honored the 12 Chamorros killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor with a memorial and a call is issued for Guam's contribution to the victory over Japan and its wartime occupation by Japanese forces to be included in US World War II history textbooks.
