Yesterday, a friend of mine who's remodelling his recently deceased father's house, gave me a couple of books he "is not going to need" ( [IMG] ) and amongst those books, he gave me a very special and very beautiful book collection called "The Second World War" by Sir Winston L. S. Churchill, a complete version. I already had it but still liked it. Then when I got home, I read the second page and found out that it is an original 1950 edition, 1st edition!

Do anyone of you know how much money this guy lost? I'm interested in knowing how much this collection is worth —which of course, I won't sell in my whole life! [IMG]

An essential set of books, Friedrich ! They used to be quite easy to find over here a up to about ten years back, but first edition sets are now quite hard to find.

Good ones complete with dust-wrappers sell for up to fifteen pounds per volume.

Great find Friedrich! Unfortunately I don't know the value of the series (it's no militaria ;) ).

I have a set of these books at my parents house. I also got them from a friend but never took the time to read them. When I read your comments there are worth reading isn't it?
