A lot of my pleasure reading is SF and I've not been mentioning those books as the theme here seemed to be more historical. Since I got my Kindle I've also been reading a lot of the free and very cheap books availble for that. Some are quite good but some of them (including the free ones) aren't worth what I payed for them. Good authors in that catagory IMO are Jim Butcher, David Weber, Drake, Ringo, ... Oldies that are still worth it IMO Asimov, Poul Anderson, Tolkien, Verne, Heinlein, Disckson... And of course for both poetry and prose Kipling (in the poetry area I like Service as well)

Is this memoir rare? Kind of pricey for second hand used. LOL. Not saying I won't purchase it but...you know...
It's not common - but my copy cost £7.50 in a London secondhand bookshop last year so - leave no stone unturned.......
