Searching for an encyclopedia of all ww2 vehicules

After a few days of reading bits there and there, I must say that I really enjoy this encyclopedia. I don't need one thousand pages of information about one vehicle or arm. It goes to the point with good photos and illustrations and interesting informations in the text.

 

As I said, it has all of the "essentials." However, your OP was looking for "everything," which is another matter entirely.

 

Maybe later but right now, for a newbie like me I am pretty satisfied with this book.

 

You generally have to go on a nation by nation basis.

Tanks of the World 1915-1945 by Chris Ellis is a pretty good overall work
German Tanks of WW II by Chris Ellis
British and American Tanks of World War II by Chris Ellis

Walter Spielberger has an excellent series on German AFVs (tanks, spgs, armoured cars, tracked vehicles)
Robert Hunnicutt is the dean on American AVFs (armoured fighting vehicles) from tanks to spgs. He has a book on the M-4 Sherman and its variants, M-3 halftrack and its variants, light tanks (pre-M3 Stuart, M-24 Chaffee, M-41 Walker Bulldog), M-26 Pershing, etc.

John MIlsom has a good book out on Soviet Tanks and armoured cars but it covers pre-war and up to the T-64 tank.

The British Royal Tank Corps has a good series of books on different nations' AFVs.

You can literally fill bookcases with books on vehicles - depening on your interest and budget. Aircraft? You can find books on airplanes (or even individual models like the Me-109E or Me-109T, markings, squadrons, first hand accounts.
